The Melissae were a triad of divinatory Priestesses in ancient Greece, that were in service to the goddesses Demeter, Artemis and Aphrodite. They were able to see the future, interpret signs and omens provided by Nature and the Earth.  They were also deeply associated with bees and honey and sometimes were called the Queen Bee.
